DOD

Our next Doctoral Open Day is being held in the Cranfield Management Research Institute on Friday 14th February 2014, and gives people the opportunity to meet face-to-face and find out more about both of our doctoral programmes:

The Cranfield PhD Programme

  • Our world-class PhD programme offers the highest level of supervisory support. This begins as soon as you prepare your initial research proposal and continues throughout the programme. A team of faculty experts will offer you sound advice on your research issue from various different perspectives throughout your studies.
  • The structure of our programme – with comprehensive research training during the first year followed by regular progress reviews in successive years – is designed to help you make efficient progress towards timely completion.
  • Our excellent completion rates; 90% of our full-time students complete their PhDs within four years.
  • HEFCE’s definition of the Cranfield PhD in the recent Research Assessment Exercise – world-leading in terms of its resourcing and quality assurance.
  • The possibility of studying part-time – as well as full-time – an option not provided by many other leading international business schools. Our six year part-time programme has distinct advantages for students who wish to continue working whilst studying for their PhD.

The Cranfield International Executive Doctorate (DBA)

  • Our world-class, AMBA accredited programme offers the highest level of supervisory support which starts from the initial preparation of your research proposal and continues throughout, as well as beyond the programme. A supervisory team of faculty experts will offer you sound advice on your business issue from various different perspectives throughout your research studies.
  • The unique structure of our programme, starting with comprehensive research training during the first year, provides your organisation with major benefits from your first research project right from the start, not just when you finish.
  • Cranfield School of Management has been complimented by current Executive Doctorate students for its responsiveness to emails or telephone calls requesting information. This is due to the dedicated Exec Doc support team that is immediately on hand to help – whether you are on campus or anywhere else in the world.
  • In the recent Research Assessment Exercise, HEFCE referred to the resourcing and quality assurance of the Cranfield Executive Doctorate as one of the world-leading aspects of Cranfield School of Management.
